At 3 weeks old, Whiskey Rebel was found with his mom, Payton, and 9 siblings on a freezing cold day.  Someone had dropped them off at the end of an undeveloped cul-de-sac just before the first major cold snap hit, the week before Thanksgiving. We rescued the puppies immediately and bottle fed them for 2 days until their mom could be caught. While bottle feeding the puppies, we fell in love with a couple of them, especially Whiskey Rebel, who at the time we nick-named “White Paws”. Once everyone was together, One Love Animal Rescue took the family in and cared for them. Momma dog was named Payton, after the road that they were found on, and the puppies became the “Planetarium Pups”.

As soon as the pups were weaned and old enough to leave Payton, Whiskey Rebel got to come back home with us. All of the other puppies found wonderful homes as well. Whiskey now has an older sister, Dixie Grace, a German Shepherd-lab mix who treats him like her own. He has learned so much from Dixie and has been learning things on his own too. In 6 months, Whiskey went from the side of the road to a loving family and a home of his own. He has gotten to travel to New York and Florida, go hiking in the mountains, play in the snow, dig in the sand at the beach, swimming in lakes and the ocean, and explore downtown Savannah. He enjoys playing at the playground, following his big sister down the slides. He loves to play fetch and is learning to catch the Frisbee. We love our Whiskey Rebel!
