Do you have dogs and cats that need to be spayed/neutered or receive Rabies vaccinations?  Do you know someone with financial limitations that could benefit from these services?

On May 10 – 18, the military will be conducting a humanitarian mission called OPERATION EMPOWER HEALTH Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) here in Savannah at the Civic Center, Georgia Southern University, Savannah State University and Garden City. This medical mission will include Veterinary services for Savannah and surrounding counties. The services will include spay and neuter for up to 200 dogs and cats and rabies vaccines. Veterinary services will be solely provided by military personnel and surgeries will be by appointment only. Rabies vaccines are available as walk-in appointments.

The goal is to schedule 250-300 animals to be spayed and neutered during these 10 days. This will go such a long way in our ultimate goal: reducing the large number of unwanted pregnancies and the abundance of puppies and kittens that are produced each year.

Please, share and encouraging anyone you know looking for spay/neuter assistance to utilize this no cost service.

Inquiries for surgery or to schedule surgery should call our surgical coordinator (Megan) at 912-354-6265

Rabies vaccinations will be available to all on a walk-in basis- all you need to do is show up!
