Meet Bongo
Our 1st Dog of Christmas is the dashing Bongo. Bongo’s perfect Home for the Holidays would have a fenced yard and be an adults only oasis of tranquility. Bongo would need to start out as an only dog but is ok with cats after a slow introduction. At home he is well-mannered, and crate/house trained. But for Bongo, the outside world is big and scary and he reacts out of fear in unfamiliar situations. He attended an 8 week Reactive Dog Training Class and showed huge improvement so Bongo is looking for and experienced dog owner to help him continue to overcome his fears. He will need time and space to settle into his new surroundings but he is very smart and learns new commands quickly. Meet Wiley
The 2nd Dog of Christmas is our tall boy Wiley who is searching for his very own Home for the Holidays with a fenced in yard. He is house and crate trained, loves car rides, and walks well on the leash. Wiley is shy and fearful; therefore, he would do best with a dog his size and needs an experienced dog owner, preferably female, who is very patient and fearless. For his safety and the safety of others, he will always need a muzzle in public. Wiley will need slow introductions to potential adopters and One Love will be here every step of the way to support both. Meet Duke
The happy and freckled Duke is our 3rd Dog of Christmas looking for a family to love him unconditionally and bring him Home for the Holidays. Duke’s ideal home will be with a family, couple or single, who have lots of time to spend with him and don’t need to leave him home all day by himself. Duke loves all people and is a great “welcome home committee” – whether you have been gone all day – or for just 5 minutes, you can count on receiving the warmest, most exuberant welcome every time. Due to this exuberance, Duke would do best with older kids, bigger dogs, and no cats. He is sure to add plenty of love, joy, laughter and companionship to your home. Meet Oslo
One Love’s 4th Dog of Christmas is our beautiful speckled Oslo. This wonderful boy has come a long way with us and is ready for his Home for the Holidays. Oslo came to us with severe skin infections and an eye infection that required surgery. We believe he lived in an area chained-up in water or in a kennel with so much waste he didn’t want to lay down because when he first came into our care he would fall asleep standing up. Now that he’s all fixed-up and comfortable, we’ve learned that this goofy guy LOVES attention, affection, and is ready to learn. Oslo is house/crate trained, walks well on the leash, gets along great with other dogs and children and is looking for a Home for the Holidays with no cats. Meet Breckin
Our 5th Dog of Christmas looking for a Home for the Holidays is the loving Breckin. She came to One Love a horribly neglected dog but we did what we do best and look at this wonderful, beautiful soul. She is so happiest when she is with her humans and loves to be held and will cuddle all day with you if you’d let her. She would love to sleep next to her family every night. Breckin enjoys playing with other larger dogs and seems to do well with them as long as she is greeted nicely. She would do best without cats. Meet Bullwinkle
Presenting the 7th Dog of Christmas, the stunning Bullwinkle! Bullwinkle is a happy go lucky kind of guy and is looking for an active Home for the Holidays. He seems to enjoy everyone he meets and is excited for attention. He loves running around like a silly big goofball. Everyone who meets him just loves his sweet and playful personality and thinks he is gorgeous! Meet Fannie
The sweet little Fannie is the 8th Dog of Christmas is search of a Home for the Holidays. Fannie was left abandoned in a hotel room with 2 other little dogs for a week with no food and water. Another rescue picked up the other dogs but left Fannie behind so we welcomed her into our family. She would like to be the only dog and since she is shy she is looking for a quiet family to call her very own. Meet Tessa
The devoted Tessa is our 9th Dog of Christmas. Tessa’s Home for Holidays is a place where she can simply love and be loved. Eluding capture for months in the Kroger parking lot, she was finally caught, emaciated, full of fleas, worms and heartworm positive. Today, she is thriving and wants to just spend time with her people. Tessa is there to help with everything and is a real cuddle bug. She has an abundance of energy and is a true athlete. She is equally happy to snuggle up in blankets and spend her time napping. Tessa walks well on the leash and is fully house trained. She is content in a crate but prefers to have run of the house and full access to beds and sofas. She has no destructive tendencies at all unless its a stuffed toy, then she needs to get all that stuffing out. Tessa has been introduced to several dogs both large and small and makes friends very quickly. She has a very keen interest in cats but has had limited exposure to them only viewing them from a distance. Meet Attie
Our 10th Dog of Christmas is the handsome Attie who is blossoming more an more each day in our care. While he can be a bit timid meeting new people, Attie loves other dogs and having a friend provides him with the emotional support he needs.
