We first met this young lad when he had mange. If anyone ever wonders why One Love Animal Rescue Volunteers spend so many hours each day in service to homeless, abandoned and surrendered pets this will surely explain it.  Toby was a Chocolate Lab, Male about one year old.  He was a very, very sweet little boy who had demodectic mange, probably passed onto him by his mother or from stressful living conditions prior to the shelter. This was a very treatable condition, as you’ll soon see.  Living at the shelter kept him stressed out because of the loud environment which made it hard for the mange to be cured. We put out the plea for someone to please consider adopting him so he could turn into the handsome boy we know him to be. He was all puppy and he was ready to get out and enjoy running around.  Here, you will witness one of our miracles.  Officer Moose reporting for duty.

This handsome young lad was transported to Labrador Rescue of Florida and his life definitely improved.  His new name is Moose.  He’s in his K-9 officer training for Fish and Wildlife and is doing very well. These photos were taken three weeks ago and his trainer says that now his fur is even better than shown in the photos. His instructors are very happy with his progress. One Love Animal Rescue is so proud of him! The intensity you can see in the photo where he is tracking is so wonderful.

Moose is ready to learn.

Officer Moose is an example of why our volunteers give so much of their lives and their time.  In honor of Officer Moose’s incredible recovery and his new life, we ask you to consider donating to support Labs who have been abandoned, or that are in medical need.  Recycle Love, help a lab, it is a great feeling.  Officer Moose is just one of our wonderful success stories.  We’re just waiting for you to come by so we can introduce you to yours.
