Meet the Board
Karrie Bulski
Co- Founder &
Executive Director
As co-founder and CEO of One Love Animal Rescue, Karrie oversees the medical care and well-being of all cats and dogs, from vaccinations and medications to veterinary appointments.
Dedicated to special-needs animals, she welcomes them into her home to help them heal and thrive.
She is most proud of the compassionate team of volunteers whose commitment makes the mission possible.
For her, success is measured not by numbers, but by lives saved, families made whole, and the perfect matches found.
Pam Peterson
President
Pam Peterson joined One Love Animal Rescue in 2021 after finding two stray dogs on the side of the highway.
Fostering those two dogs provided an introduction to the rescue and the lifesaving work Karrie Bulski was doing through One Love. Pam has enjoyed volunteering at events, fundraising, and has fostered more than 20 dogs and cats for the rescue.
In addition to her work with One Love, Pam is a local real estate agent and has a rescue farm where she rehabilitates horses. Pam joined the board of directors in 2024 and is proud to represent One Love Animal Rescue and enjoys making a positive impact in her community.
Christina Dolan
Vice President
Christina began volunteering with One Love Animal Rescue in 2016, starting with transports and later expanding into fostering, fundraising, and mentoring. She’s seen how One Love gives a voice to animals who have none and never turns away from those in need.
Proud of the group’s all-volunteer efforts to help both pets and families, she and her family recently “foster succeeded” by adopting one of their fosters. Outside rescue, Christina works in the Environmental Department at Goodwyn Mills Cawood and, as Board Vice President, is grateful to serve a team dedicated to saving lives and strengthening the community.
Rebecca Wells
Secretary
Rebecca Wells is an educator and lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of teaching experience at the high school and university levels, including Armstrong-Georgia Southern University. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology and an Ed.D. in Curriculum Studies, with a passion for making science accessible to all learners.
Since 2015, Rebecca has volunteered with One Love Animal Rescue, where she serves as board secretary and, with her sons, fosters dogs—especially those with medical needs. Whether in the classroom or at rescue events, she’s dedicated to helping others—human or furry—thrive.
Our Goal
Our goal is to save one life at a time by promoting local animal shelter adoptions and raising awareness in our community about responsible pet ownership. We strive to highlight the importance of spaying or neutering pets which will aid in the reduction of overpopulation. We believe that appropriate and positive reinforcement training and socialization of these shelter animals will lead to well-adjusted family pets, thereby decreasing the number of abandoned animals in shelters. Our dream is that one day all the shelters will be empty because every pet will have a home. One Love Animal Rescue, Inc. of Savannah, GA is a licensed non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue organization; all donations are tax-deductible and directly benefit the animals entrusted in our care.
