Introducing Our February Volunteer of the Month
Please meet Sharon Seng, our OLAR February Volunteer of the Month! Sharon, a life-long active girl scout, is a recent retiree, and since retiring has been up and down the eastern seaboard on behalf of One Love Animal Rescue! She is a critical part to our transport efforts and we couldn’t be more thankful she choose us to spend her free time with.
Here is a little more about Sharon, from Sharon herself:
Well, some basics about myself: I have been married for 30 years, have a daughter, a son, and one granddaughter. I was an air force brat and have lived all over the world. This past January, I retired from Bank of America after 31 years of service.
I enjoy traveling, visiting my kids and granddaughter in VA, reading, water aerobics, line dancing and glass fusion. I want to visit all 50 states and only have 8 to go.
While I have found a passion for animal rescue, I also have another lifelong passion: Girl Scouts. I have been an active Girl Scout since I was 6 years old. Currently, have a senior troop of 8 girls, and a daisy troop of 10 girls.
I love being a part of One Love Animal Rescue. One of my favorite moments is seeing happy faces (animal and human alike) when we send a dog or cat off to their forever home. It gives me such a warm feeling all over.
Sharon, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! Because of amazing volunteers like you, we are able to save so many lives!
