dog days of summerJoin us for the festivities at the annual Savannah Waterfront Association’ Dog Days of Summer. The event takes place from August 7th from 4pm-10pm  and August 8th from 10am-10pm on Riverstreet. The event if for the dogs, literately and of course their human counter parts. We will have our own booth on Saturday from 10am-4pm with information about our adoptable and amazing pets so come and stop on by and feel free to say hi! and ask us any questions about our rescue or adoptable pets. We hope to see you there.

 Here are a few of the events that will be happening!

  • Shop at select vendor booths for gourmet treats and all of your doggy accessory needs.
  • On Friday, sign up to strut your stuff with all your doggy pals from 6-7pm at the Y100 booth. All costumes are encouraged.
  • Friday night enjoy the outdoor movie :Guardians of the Galaxy at 8:45pm. If you are not a scaredy-cat then stick around for the intermission to watch First Friday fireworks  at 9:30pm!
  • Capture the weekend fun with a picture at the pet photo booth.
  • Sign up for a FREE painting session with Wine and Canvas Savannah to make a customized dog bone painting with your name!
  • Cool off at the misting station tent, grab a sip of water, or go for a swim in one of the pup pools.
  • Stop by the Banfield Pet Hospital tent for an owner “cone of shame” photo op and veterinary health education .
  • Give your owner a chance to practice their downward dog with Yoga on the River hosted by Dancing Dogs Yoga Savannah. The class is FREE and will begin at 9am on Saturday, August 8 (sorry humans only).
