ONE LOVE IS IN DIRE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES!
We have a few urgent situations within our foster program. We need foster homes for the following dogs within our program and until we find new homes, WE ARE SADLY CLOSED FOR NEW INTAKES which is heartbreaking since the shelters currently are beyond full and in an urgent status themselves. Please read below to find our dogs in need and PLEASE let us know if you are able to open your home to them.
Not a foster yet, JOIN US! Please submit a foster agreement online at:http://oneloveanimalrescue.com/foster-home-agreement/ and our foster coordinator will be right with you. We support our foster animals 100% in vetting and supplies and just ask for your time and love! We ask that each of our pets attend 2 adoption events and 2 training classes, hosted by One Love, each month. Boarding is not an option since these wonderful dogs do not get the love, attention, training and companionship they need to thrive and succeed in their forever homes. In addition, it is much too expensive for our rescue to support boarding.
1. Zephyr
She is the mother of our car crew bunch is now retired and looking for her forever home. We moved her into a foster home but we realize that she would do better in a home without a cat. She is doing well interacting with dogs in the training courses so she may appreciate another dog in the home but does just fine on her own as well! Her current foster mom can answer any questions. Her description: Welcome our beautiful mother who is retiring officially this week. Lovely Zephyr (mom of the car crew) is about 2-4yrs old and sweet and lovely as ever. She is now going to step into a different life and work on crate training. She is house trained already.
2. Sheena
Her temp babysitter will be traveling again at the end of February so it was a great break from boarding and I DO NOT want to stick her back in there. Pointer Mix, Sheena is a 2 year old, spayed female. Sheena loves having a family who she can spend her time running and playing, going for walks and family adventures. She seems to do well with older children. She loves being the only “child” so we are looking for a home without dogs or cats.
3. Bella
Bella would probably do best in a home without a cat or a cat who is used to dogs where she could slowly be introduced. Bella is a 3-year-old Pitbull that needs a patient and loving forever home. She was in a house fire over a year ago in New Jersey, and was unfortunately not properly cared for before and after the fire. She is almost done recovering from the burns that cover half of her back. She is great and really loving with humans and children (absolutely loves to cuddle!), she is very energetic with other dogs, and I am unsure about her around cats. She loves the water, loves running, catch at the park, and as much loving and play time as you can handle to give.
A 2 year old Cattle dog. Zeppy does well with other dogs if properly introduced and they are confident dogs. He is extremely reactive to runners, bicycles and such. He will be attending the dog reactivity class. He is extremely affectionate and LOVES his people but is just so scared. We will move him through this but it will take a special person/family to do so.
5. Joe
Current Foster advised this yesterday that they have to travel for work and leaves this Sunday. ab/Shepard Mix, 50lbs, Microchipped, UTD on vaccines and scheduled for his neuter. Joe is such a friendly, outgoing fella who hasn’t met a stranger. He seems to be doing well with all dogs he has met thus far and is currently living with a cat. Working on basic training and seems to be doing well with his house and crate training.
