Ziggy, the coolest chihuahua ever!
Ziggy came to One Love Rescue after one of the founder saw this sweet little man sitting in the kennel crying in pain. One of Ziggy’s eyes was severely infected and left untreated for over one year by his previous owners before they surrendered him to the shelter. One Love immediately pulled him into their care and took him to a fantastic eye surgeon here in Savannah. We learned that Ziggy has a melting ulcer and the eye was no longer usable and was causing him great pain. The day we picked up Ziggy from surgery, we could tell he was already a new dog! No longer crying in pain for the eye had been removed and he was headed down the road to recovery. The very next day, Ziggy was up and going and it was clear, he felt good! No need to 2 eyes, this man doesn’t skip a beat!
One Love found Ziggy’s perfect home with a wonderful man and his son where he spending his time hiking in the woods and enjoying the great outdoors. His new family says, “He is the ultimate dream dog. On hikes he wears no leash and is always on the watch. Ziggy bolts 100 feet ahead, surveys the surrounding area, waits for the whole family to enter the realm of his protection, then fires off to the next realm of mystery. He’s one of my favorite peoples.”
