One Love is seeking grant writers!
One Love Animal Rescue, a 301(c)(3) non-profit organization in Savannah, Georgia is seeking grant writers to secure funding by writing grant proposals for medical, transport, and disaster relief and recovery. If you have strong writing skills and a desire to help rescue animals, we need to talk!
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources.
- Work with The Grant Writing Chair to gather information necessary to report to the Board of Directors on current grant programs.
- Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors.
- Understanding the organization’s mission and programs.
- Work with Grant Writing Chair to provide development input for all written institutional materials (including Annual Report).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
- Strong editing skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of fundraising information sources
- Experience with proposal writing and corporate donors
- Knowledge of basic fundraising techniques and strategies
- Strong contributor in team environments
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years experience with grant writing, desired but not mandatory.
- Previous experience with non-profit fundraising, desired but not mandatory.
- Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
- Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
